Fortress Clash
Fortress Clash – A Simple Tower Defense Game, but Easily Fails If Played Incorrectly
At first glance, Fortress Clash looks quite similar to other familiar tower defense games: towers, troops, and upgrades. But once you start playing, you'll see it's not that simple. Just a slight misstep can lead to being overwhelmed.
Starting the Match
Each round, you have a fortress. Your opponent has one too. Both sides will automatically generate resources over time, and you use those resources to:
- Upgrade your towers
- Generate troops
- Increase your power
There's no lengthy farming; battles are quite fast-paced.
Practical Gameplay (No Theory)
Many new players make the mistake of summoning troops as soon as they have enough points. Doing so often leads to an early defeat.
Better approach:
- First 10–20 seconds: Level up 1–2 basic units.
- Then start sending troops.
- If you see your opponent attacking aggressively, stop attacking and defend.
This game doesn't reward quick clicks, but timely clicks.
Buttons in the game:
Nothing complicated, almost entirely mouse-based:
- Left mouse click: Used for all actions.
- Upgrade icons: Usually located at the bottom of the screen.
- You can guess from the icons:
- Sword icon: Increases damage.
- Shield icon: Increases health.
- Lightning bolt/clock icon: Increases speed.
- Send troops button: Click when you want to attack. Don't spam it continuously if you're not strong enough.
- Resource bar: Cannot be clicked, but you must keep an eye on it. When you run out of points, you just stand there and watch your opponent attack.
Some common situations:
- You're weaker: just defend, upgrade gradually, don't try to overwhelm.
- Evenly matched: whoever maintains a better rhythm will win.
- Opponent spamming troops: usually, they lack upgrades → counterattack when they run out of resources.
Conclusion:
Fortress Clash isn't a game that requires quick reflexes, but rather a feel for the rhythm of the game. After a few rounds, you'll get used to the controls, and then you'll find the game quite engaging.
If you just want a fast-paced game that doesn't require too much thinking but still has some strategy, Fortress Clash is a good choice.
