FrontWars.io
Trying out FrontWars.io, I found it quite addictive.
At first glance, I thought FrontWars.io was just a typical io-style shooter. The graphics weren't outstanding, and the interface was quite simple. But after playing a few matches, I realized the game has a strangely addictive quality, especially in large-scale battles.
The game starts quite quickly. You don't need to adjust many things; once you choose a room, you're instantly on the map.
The fast pace makes it quite intense.
The most noticeable thing about FrontWars.io is that players rarely have time to stand still. The map isn't very large, so encountering opponents happens constantly.
There are times when you're focused on shooting ahead, and someone is already circling behind you. Therefore, if you just stand in one place aiming for too long, you're very likely to be eliminated.
The game relies more on quick reflexes. Those who move well and change positions constantly will usually survive longer in a match.
The guns in the game are quite good.
FrontWars.io has many familiar types of guns. Each one feels different, not just changing the appearance.
Shotguns are quite painful at close range, but require getting close. Snipers are stronger at long range, but if you're not used to aiming, it's easy to miss. Rifles are balanced and the easiest to use for beginners.
I've noticed many people switch weapons constantly depending on the situation, instead of using just one type from the beginning to the end of the match.
Controls are not difficult.
The game uses familiar buttons, so anyone who has played FPS games will get used to them quickly:
- W A S D to move
- Left mouse button to shoot
- Right mouse button to aim
- Shift to dash
- R to reload
- Space to jump
A convenient feature is that the game responds quite quickly, with little lag when shooting.
Another great thing is that it doesn't require downloading.
Many current shooting games are quite heavy, take a long time to install, and require a powerful machine. FrontWars.io is the opposite. It's quite convenient to play as soon as you open your browser, especially if you want to jump into a game quickly.
Even though it's a web game, the combat rhythm is still good. If you have a stable internet connection, it runs quite smoothly.
You'll want to keep playing even after the match ends.
I think this is why FrontWars.io keeps so many people hooked. Each match is quick, so you often feel like playing another one. Sometimes you only intend to play for a few minutes, but you end up playing for quite a while without realizing it.
